Session 2 (Cargo Bay)

Our intrepid crew decided that they'd spent enough time on Yamm and set course to Tefnut.

Aden asks “Which station we headed to, Captn'?”. “My vote would be Serenity, for obvious reasons.” He smirked.

“Whichever station has docking bays available,” Lars replied.

Quick trips like this are normally peaceful and quiet but not this time. At the most inopportune time, just as Khivrak was reassembling her assault rifle, the ship passed through a gravitational wave. The sudden jarring of the ship sent her body slamming into a workbench, injuring her dominant hand and rendering her Saber inoperable (Starship Travel Event: Accident). Between Valeri and Narira, they got her patched up but she won't be any good if they run into trouble where they're going (“Resting and recovering from injury”).

“Looks like its Rebus Station everybody.” Lars shouted as Tefnut came into view.

“Outstanding!” Narira said, “Lots to do here. The first thing I'm gonna do is find a firing range! I'm dying to try out this Avenger.”

Before leaving Yamm, Aden found a scrap dealer willing to give him credits for the Omni-Blade and the busted Krogan Hammer. (The crew netted a +1 credit this turn during Upkeep from the sale)

Lars transferred 6 credits to the shipbroker to pay down the debt on the ship (Ship Debt). The remaining balance is 10 credits.

Safely docking at Rebus Station, Lars powered everything down and said “You guys go blow off some steam, I'm going to go find us some work that hopefully doesn't involve the Remnants! You guys have fun and please stay out of trouble.”

“No promises captain!” Narira said on her way out the hatch, Avenger in hand.

“I'll go!” Valeri said, locking eyes with Lars. “I'll help you look for work.”

“Hey Phil, wanna go see if we can get into trouble?” Aden asked. “Nah, you go ahead. I'm going to see if I can get Khivrak's Saber fixed up.” Phil replied.

“k, later.” Aden responded.

Khivrak tells Phil that he didn't have to try and fix her weapon and that he should go with Aden. They spent the next few hours in a philosophical discussion about what constitutes “Fun” in the various species across the galaxy.

A few hours pass…

“All fixed up. It should be like new. I had to replace the entire upper assembly.” (Spent 2 credits to assist with the Repair Dice roll). Phil said as he demonstrated the rifle's smooth action. “Thanks Phil.” Khivrak said.

Narira returned shortly after all pumped up and raving about the Avenger's deadly accuracy. “or possibly it's just my exceptional skills.” she said.

All three started laughing, “I'm sure that's what it is!” Khivrak said as they all laughed louder.

“What's so funny?” Lars said as he entered the hatchway.

“Narira's exceptional shooting skills,” Khivrak said, laughing even harder. By now Khivrak was the only one laughing.

“I take it you found a range and the weapon performed well for you,” Lars commented. “That's a good thing. Good job.”

“Thanks captain.” Narira said while she just stared at Khivrak.

“I struck out finding us a job to do,” Lars said. “Valeri was talking with someone when I left.” he continued.

“I'll contact Captain Haymore to see if she has anything.” Lars was saying as Valeri came through the hatch. “That may not be necessary,” Valeri said as she walked in.

Valari continued. “That guy I was talking with at the bar, he's a Council Agent. He just finished up a missing person case and said Rebus Security is so short-staffed that they offered no assistance in locating his missing diplomat. He suggested that I check in with them and offer our services. I just came back to see if you wanted to go with me?”

“That does sound enticing. Let's go.” Lars said.

“Where are we going?” Aden said and he walked in.

“Valeri has a lead on a job and we're headed to get details,” Lars says.

“Oh ok, I thought we were leaving already. I really like here. I may just stay. (“This place is rather nice, really.” Exploration event)” Aden continued.

“Hold that thought and we'll talk about it when I return,” Lars said.
