Khivrak Varna
Khivrak Varna, a female Krogan soldier, embodies the qualities of a reluctant champion. Trained as a formidable warrior on Tuchanka, Khivrak became disenchanted with the path of aggression and dominance that defined her people. The reversal of the genophage stirred conflicting emotions within her, prompting a deep reflection on the true meaning of strength and honor.
Leaving Tuchanka behind, Khivrak sought answers and a new purpose. She arrived on Benning, an Alliance outpost in the Euler System, where she found solace in the concept of being a protector rather than a conqueror. Understanding the potential for good that her immense strength and combat skills held, she embraced the role of a reluctant champion.
Khivrak's experiences on Benning led her to question her preconceived notions and strive for a higher ideal. She became a guardian of the innocent, using her formidable abilities to shield others from harm. Despite her reservations and inner conflicts, Khivrak could not deny the satisfaction she derived from defending those who could not defend themselves.
In a chance encounter at a bar on Yamm, Khivrak met Captain Lars Pine and his crew. Intrigued by their mission and their dedication to making a positive impact, she reluctantly agreed to join their cause. Khivrak saw The Starbound reckoning as a vessel through which she could navigate the complexities of her own identity while channeling her skills to protect and empower those in need.
